Each month, Cloud9 Climate purchases 1.5 metric tons of certified carbon credits to offset the energy used in our operations. We wanted to ensure all aspects of our show, from advocating for sustainability on-screen to the production behind the scenes, were produced responsibly.
Our creators and content highlight innovations, practical choices, and cultural shifts that help audiences see what a climate-positive future can look like. By going on social media and YouTube, we meet audiences in their daily lives and connect them with ideas that inspire change. Matt is a filmmaker, entrepreneur, and storyteller who brings two decades of creative, business, and brand-building experience to Cloud9 Climate. His work spans feature films, marketing, and sustainability-driven ventures, all grounded in the belief that better stories can help people rethink what is possible.
Taylor Karasch
CO-FOUNDER · PRODUCER
Taylor is a Sustainable Systems graduate, a teacher in the University of Minnesota's Sustainable Systems Management program, and co-founder of a startup that sold building materials built to trap carbon. She's hands-on with producing the show and the one bringing new partners into the Spork the System fold.
Cassidy Schnell
CO-OWNER · HOST · PRODUCER
Cassidy studied Environmental Studies and Film/Media, with fieldwork that took her from coral reefs in Bali to sustainability projects in Japan. She's WWOOFed her way through farms in Japan, Eastern France, and the Netherlands, getting her hands in the dirt along the way. Cassidy is the face, heart, and storyteller of Spork the System.
